Kanawidan Festival

         The old and the new in Ilocano culture are both featured in this year's Kannawidan Ylocos Festival the festival of Ilocos Sur that celebrates its being a separate province and its being a treasure chest of traditions and culture.

          This next month January 29 to February 5 we celebrate the Kannawidan Festival. Kannawidan is tradition or heritage in Ilocano. Now on its third year, the festival is a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the province, as well as a tribute to its outstanding citizens. A feast of rich heritage and culture of heavenly and alluring sites; with endearing and worth knowing historical significance.annawidan Ylocos festival of the province of Ilocos Sur formally opened on January 29 at the Quirino Stadium in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, until February 13 at Candon City. The festivity features the heritage culture of the province which dates back two centuries ago. Government Ryan Luis V. Singson said the street dancing and showdown of the product of the 22 towns of the province marked the festivities. This is the first time the Ilocos Sur held Street Dancing as one of the highlights of the activities. Kannawidan is an Ilocano term meaning feast of rich heritage and culture. It marks the 198th foundation of Ilocos Sur, which separated the province from Ilocos Norte by a Royal Decree on February 2, 1818.

Changing My Life

           A lot of people change because they have a reason and inspiration. Like a "Bad boy" to "Good boy". They can their lives because of they learned what they deserve and from mistakes they use to change their worst life because they have just realize how bad they are.
       
         “Changing,” in the grander sense, refers to growing as a person and gaining life experience. You're unlikely to be aware of your own change, because you are yourself and it's hard to have that kind of outside perspective. This 2020 i have a lot of plan to myself. Like doing my responsibilities, giving and showing my love to my family cause I'm shy. But deep inside i love them so much and i am very thankful that they are my parents. I wish my bad attitudes, i can change it i'll tryna do my very best to change my life

Vigan Fiesta

          A fiesta is a celebration or a party. Your parents might plan a fiesta to celebrate your high school graduation.The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated during the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. Before his conversion, St. Paul was known as Saul, a zealous persecutor of Christians. After he was touched by a personal encounter with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, his name was changed to Paul.

           

           Vigan Fiesta had a different occasions like the competition of street dancing the "longganisa festival" and Binatbatan  Festival which is the one of the famous festivals here in Ilocos Sur and also the Kannawidan Festival is coming in the month of February. Every festivals has every amazing events, contests parade of kalse and one of awaited, different artists will come and join us to celebrate the Vigan Fiesta. Biguenos from all over the country and even abroad return to Vigan, as it is the custom of Filipinos to return to their hometown to join their family and friends in the celebration of their fiesta.

       *Countdown* 5..4..3..2..1 you'll hear a loud voices, motorcycles beep..beep and firecrackers Ratatatat!. New Year wishes are a wish which we are placing on the occasion of the approaching new year. New Year wishes most often concern plans and events which will be taking place next year. New Year wishes which we are saying will depend on whom we are directing these wishes at.

      We often say New Year wishes for persons for strangers. In the period which the new year is preceding, we are saying wishing the people with which we are usually meeting, also to strangers. We often say wishes for neighbors which we don’t know too well. My plan about this 2020 is not that different, every new year isn't that special to me because my new years resolution is just to be happy Everyday its like my new years resolution last year and again.     

This year i'll tryna do my best in everything especially my school and I hope that this year will gonna be cooler than 2019 <3. Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow            and “Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one.” Happy New Year!
